Game Audio Strategy Deep Dive

Researched, critiqued, analyzed and presented a deep dive about various game audio strategies in which both sound designers and generalist game designers can bring to their own projects and work to teach, inform, and inspire players.

Some of the notable strategies I discussed in it include:

  • Proximity Audio

  • Metaphoric Audio

  • Negative Space Audio

  • Discovery

  • Game State Audio

  • Divergent Audio

I also used a wide selection of games to provide examples of these strategies in play, and critiqued their effectiveness according to four criteria: meaningfulness, immersion, innovation, and complexity.
