Create a Mission Design Document (MDD) for a linear level in a third-person action-adventure game, set in a realistic world and focused on traversal challenges. The player’s goal is to overcome these challenges to reach the end of the level. A light hostile presence should also be included.

Mission Narrative

The QUERI HQ is a software development building located in the heart of California’s Silicon Valley. You are tasked by a mysterious contact to infiltrate the building under the cover of night, retrieve a set of encrypted digital files, and escape.

Intel suggests there is a moderate hostile security force present who will shoot on sight and alert other guards quickly. There are multiple entries, such as the front doors which may provide the most direct but dangerous route in. Intel also mentions a rear entry ladder which could provide an excellent vantage point and rooftop entry. Finally, there is also a set of stairs on the outside of the building which lead directly to the roof, but are semi-monitored. It is unclear what your contact wants with these files, but the best guess is likely some sort of blackmail or proprietary theft is involved.

The player’s goal is to infiltrate the building and retrieve the encrypted files as quickly as possible and escape in one piece!
